Hosting an international student can be a rewarding experience that enhances one's cultural awareness through cultural exchange.
Thousands of international students come to the U.S. every year to better their education and learn English.
These students often want to live in a homestay to experience American culture and to connect with a family.
If you are interested in impacting a student’s life while also getting a great experience, you should join our network of hosts.

Requirements?
Host families must have a private bedroom furnished with a desk and Wi-Fi.
Also, the host must reside in a safe area located near the schools that we work with.
Compensation?
Hosts are compensated monthly for the students' stay in the home.
SIH will send a check directly to the host address.
Host Application Process
Apply
Fill out the interest form at the bottom of the page. We will respond with next steps and the application process dependent on applicability.
Follow-Up
We will follow up with you on your application within 72 hours regarding your eligibility and whether there are schools/programs in your area.
Phone Interview
Schedule a phone interview to review the program and setup a home inspection.
Home Inspection
After completion of application and phone interview, we will need a complete a home inspection to determine proper living arrangements for the students.
Sign Contracts
Final contracts and agreements will be requested for signature.
Preparation
Review all agreements, policies, and guidelines and prepare for your new international roommate!
Application
